Program Coordinator
Applications are now sought for the following full-time role: Program Coordinator
This role provides advice, support and guidance to General Practice Registrars and Practices in relation to the delivery of the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.
Core responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain good relationships with GP practice managers and supervisors within allocated GPEx regions. Guide and support them in the delivery of the training program.
- Provide high-quality training advice and support to GP registrars training in the program, by telephone, email or in-person. Engage a case-management approach as required and in particular, for registrars training in rural regions.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of GPEx, AGPT and college/s policies, which can be applied when liaising with registrars, supervisors and practice managers.
- Regularly meet with each registrar for a training plan discussion, developing a training plan as required.
- Review and oversee each registrar’s progression through the training program through, including participation in core training events (central workshops, small group release and mandatory attachments), monitoring and assessment of registrar performance, the review of training progress and compliance with GPEx, AGPT and college/s policies and procedures.
- Oversee accurate and up-to-date data entry into each registrar’s training record on the Hub, ensuring GPEx meets quality performance standards with the Department of Health and the college/s.
- Assist and participate in the promotion of general practice training to medical students and prevocational doctors at GPEx events and other opportunities.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Manager AGPT.

The successful applicant must hold an Australian Driver’s Licence. Some out-of-hours work may be required.
The position is full-time and will be located in our modern offices at 132 Greenhill Road, Unley.
