Ongoing Professional Development Opportunities
GPEx Extend : Supervisors Workshop at Morphettville Racecourse, Geoffrey Symons of Gumeracha Medical Practice and Zoe Hubball, GPEx Program Training Advisor.
The Extend Program enables GPs, Practice Managers and all rural health care professionals to participate in professional development workshops to extend their knowledge and skills in areas of quality patient care, medical education, leadership and management. GPEx Extend events are registered for CPD points where appropriate.
GPEx graduates state that the most important factor impacting on their choice of where to practise is the practice culture and team.
That’s why we support the growth and sustainability of South Australia’s GP sector, as the development of stronger and healthier GP practices creates better training opportunities for our registrars.
Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, GPEx Extend, supports GPs, Practice Managers and rural healthcare professionals to build their knowledge and skills.
GPEx in collaboration with Country SA PHN has seen the delivery of many high quality education events over the past three years across rural and remote South Australia.
We work with expert facilitators to deliver workshops, webinars and other training events across a range of topics covering quality patient care, medical education, cultural awareness, leadership and management.

GPEx also manages the Practice Review Project for Practice Managers, a virtual coaching program that takes Practice Managers through a comprehensive business review process and supports the planning of practice improvement and change.
