Angaston is a historical rural village, with heritage and tradition integrated into modern living. With a population of 2,095 people, the town is the centre of a rich pastoral region with viticulture, fruit growing, and quarrying playing important roles in the local economy. There are a variety of shops in Angaston within easy walking distance, as well as primary schools, kindergartens, a library, and a number of sporting clubs. The town also boasts two great parks with plenty of space and playground equipment for children, and an outdoor Adventure Station. Within a short drive of Angaston are some of the Barossa’s most historic and well-known wineries and cellar doors.
