About Goolwa

Goolwa is an historic river port and popular tourist destination on the Fleurieu Peninsula. With a population of 2,350 people, the town is a busy regional centre with historical features and well-preserved buildings. It has also been declared a Cittaslow or “Slow Town”; an international network of towns and cities that combine the efforts of Council, the business community, and residents to improve the quality of life for all who live and work in the town. Goolwa has many pubs, restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, schools, and sports clubs, as well as supermarkets, banks, schools, art galleries, gyms, and a microbrewery.
