About Kingscote

Kingscote is the largest town and commercial and business hub of Kangaroo Island. With a population of 1,790, Kingscote has an extensive range of services and facilities, including schools, sports clubs, cafes, restaurants, shops, a supermarket, and bank. There is plenty to do in the town, including a shark-proof tidal swimming pool, and the Kangaroo Island Art Gallery, which showcases a beautiful selection of diverse local art. Kingscote also provides residents with the perfect base to explore the rest of the island; Emu Bay, with its stretches of white sandy beaches and sparkling waters, is just a 15-minute drive away alone.
