Berri is an attractive waterfront town on the River Murray that is surrounded by irrigated vineyards and orchards. With a population of 4,088 people, Berri has a range of services and amenities for residents, including supermarkets, banks, schools, sports clubs, community groups, department stores, and boutique shops. There are plenty of things to do in the town, including water sports, and a number of areas to enjoy picnics and sports activities. The Country Arts SA River Lands Gallery also has a new exhibition each month, which features touring visual arts shows and Riverland-based artists. The Riverland Farmer’s Market is held in Berri every Saturday morning, and showcases fresh fruit and veggies from local growers, as well as food from other countries, which reflects the diversity of cultures within the region.
