About Naracoote

Naracoorte is a picturesque town situated in the centre of the Limestone Coast region between Adelaide and Melbourne. The town is a large rural service centre known for its open green spaces, and selection of unique shops. Naracoorte largely relies on wheat, sheep and cattle farming, however, tourism has also become a major industry in recent years due to the town’s proximity to several wine regions and internationally-recognised natural features. With 8,555 people living in the Naracoorte-Lucindale Council area, the town has a library, golf course, gyms, banks, schools, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and takeaway food outlets, as well as sports clubs and community groups.
