External event: Doctors for Doctors Seminar

Doctors’ Health SA (DHSA) are facilitating a one day seminar, designed for doctors who treat other doctors. The curriculum has been running since 2009 and is based on adult learning principles, regular needs assessments, CanMEDS, and literature reviews and local survey data. The program outline for the day includes:

  • Learning Outcomes and the DHSA Program
  • The Evidence-Based Check-up
  • Barriers to Doctors Seeking Health Care
  • The Drug or Alcohol -affected Doctor
  • The Cognitively Impaired Doctor
  • Doctors with mental illness
  • The Impaired Doctor
  • Health of Rural doctors
