GP Expo 21_Outside

GP Expo 21 was held on 17th March at the GPEx offices to promote the General Practice speciality. A large number of Junior Doctors, RMOs and Interns attended the event to discuss GP Training and the Australian General Practice Training Program, and to discover what being a GP is really like from GP Registrars currently in the program.

The festivities began in a country show setting in the transformed GPEx undercroft carpark. Guests enjoyed delicious food from Sprout Catering whilst networking with a range of exhibitors, including The Royal Flying Doctor Service, SHINE SA, ACRRM and RACGP.

Afterwards, guests moved upstairs for more formal proceedings, with information sessions from the GPEx medical education and training team on GP Training with GPEx and what to expect, the College curricula and assessments and pathway choices, including AST/ARST, Extended Skills and Rural Generalist.

Some lucky attendees also received a regional goodie basket filled with an amazing selection of wine and produce from regions across South Australia.

Thank you to all our guests and exhibitors who attended this year. GP Expo is an annual event and GPEx is looking forward to hosting this event again in 2022.
