GP Extend is a needs based professional development program which enables GPs, Practice Managers and other Primary Health Care Professionals to extend their knowledge and skills in the areas of quality patient care, medical education, leadership and management.

The GP Extend program content aligns with national, regional and participant-identified needs, evidence-based best practice, and updates to national health policies and guidelines. An example of topics covered in 2017 include: managing mental health in rural settings, national cervical screening updates, menopause, medication management, handling difficult conversations, setting and managing Practice KPIs, rational use of antibiotics, giving effective feedback and using technology to enhance practice performance.

The GPEx medical education team has extensive experience within the sphere of general practice and primary health, with both rural and urban clinical experience. We work with a network of facilitators who are experts in their field. Our events adhere to the highest standards of quality and this is recognised through both ACRRM and RACGP PDP/CPD accreditation. We are committed to excellence, providing you with the foundation to achieve your potential.
