Practice Experience Program (PEP)
Designed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), the Practice Experience Program (PEP) provides non-vocationally registered doctors with access to a structured education program on their pathway to Fellowship with the RACGP.
Experienced GPEx Medical Educators will deliver the education and provide support to participants during their time in the program. The workplace-based assessment program has been designed to assist participants in their preparation for the RACGP exams and deliver quality general practice care to their patients.
APPLICATIONS FOR 2020 Intake are closed
Applications must be submitted to RACGP, through their website.
To be eligible to participate in PEP you must:
- Pass the PEP Pre Entry Assessment (PEPEA)
- Hold current Australian medical registration – this can be general, provisional or limited.
- Have a job, or a job offer to provide general practice services in Australia.
NB: The non-VR Fellowship Support Program (FSP) is funded under the Australian Government’s Stronger Rural Health Strategy. Participants pay $2000 per term to access the PEP; however, there will be a price rise after this round of applications have closed. Future intakes will be required to pay $4700 per term
