Beating Burnout Coaching

In partnership with your Coach, you’ll explore your wellbeing goals, devise sustainable strategies, discuss how and what to implement, and set and review goals. Coaching combines insights from psychological theories concerned with motivation and behaviour change and draws from a range of theories from applied psychology and health disciplines. These include skills such as motivational interviewing, self-determination theory, positive psychology, emotional intelligence, Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT), mindfulness and neuroscience.

  • Explore and develop goals, along with strategies for attaining them.
  • Discuss strategies for building and sustaining motivation over time, and learn to manage negative feelings such as fear of failure, procrastination and/or increased anxiety.
  • Self-talk is the way you talk to yourself or your inner voice. You might not be aware that you’re doing it, but you almost certainly are. This inner voice combines conscious thoughts with inbuilt beliefs and biases to create an internal monologue throughout your day. You will discuss the tone of your inner voice (kind, friendly, positive or negative, critical, judgement) and ways to manage it differently.
  • Your mindset is a set of beliefs that shape how you make sense of the world and yourself. It influences how you think, feel, and behave in any given situation. It means that what you believe about yourself impacts your goal(s) success or failure.
