Dr Holtzman is one of Australia’s leading and most experienced cannabinoid medicine practitioners and educators and the 2024 Cannabiz Prescribing Healthcare Practitioner of the Year award winner.


Dr Orit Holtzman practices functional medicine with a focus on cannabinoid medicine. She is the Co-founder and Director of Leura Wellness and is the Co-Founder and President of the Australian and New Zealand College of Cannabinoid Practitioners (ANZCCP). Dr Holtzman is a TGA approved medicinal cannabis authorised prescriber for multiple indications. She has a keen interest in research and is an adjunct fellow at NICM, Western Sydney University. 

Dr Holtzman believes that medicinal cannabis is best used as a therapeutic tool as part of a wholistic medical treatment plan and uses an integrative approach to health. She lives in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW, with her husband and three kids.
