Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training
This 2-hour course has been designed for those who prefer to complete the CPR theory and assessment in a full face to face training and assessment session with no online components.
The CPR course delivers the essential principles‚ knowledge and skills to maintain breathing and circulation in emergency situations for adults, children and infants.
You will consolidate your vital lifesaving skills and the confidence and knowledge to maintain basic life support in a person who is in cardiac arrest until help/ambulance arrives.
To meet the units of competency, you will be required to demonstrate at least two (2) minutes of CPR on an adult and on an infant manikin on the floor.
At completion of the course, you will receive a nationally recognised certificate in HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Learning Outcomes:
- Competently and confidently perform CPR as per Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
- Demonstrate use of an Automated External Defibrillator
- Demonstrate ability to recognise shockable rhythms.
