GPEx appoints new CEO
The Board and Executive are delighted to announce the appointment of Sally Jones as the new Chief Executive Officer of GPEx. She is expected to take up the position on 25 March.
Sally’s blend of skills and experience, along with her deep understanding of the healthcare and education sectors, uniquely qualify her to lead our business through its next phase of growth and adaptation.
She is currently General Manager for Professional Development and Continuing Education (PACE) at the University of Adelaide, where she leads a substantial and dynamic team, encompassing professionals in business development, education solutions, business services, and marketing and communications. This diverse group collaborates internally and with industry partners to drive forward the university’s lifelong learning initiatives, demonstrating Sally’s leadership in managing a multi-faceted team and responding to market demands.
Her achievements include significantly expanding the reach and impact of business-to-business education solutions, demonstrating remarkable growth and innovation in this area. She spearheaded initiatives that bridged skill gaps and brought educational opportunities closer to communities at various levels, including regional, local, and international markets. These initiatives have had profound benefits across diverse sectors such as defence, energy and resources, health, and the public sector, showcasing her ability to meet the complex needs of a wide range of stakeholders.
Prior to joining University of Adelaide, Sally led the marketing and communications function for health sciences, nursing and medicine at Flinders University. There she developed an understanding of the complexities and workforce challenges faced by health and medical professionals and organisations. Engaging with a broad range of stakeholders from local medical professionals to executives in educational institutions, health networks and departmental agencies throughout South Australia, Sally has a deep understanding of the interconnected nature of health services.
Sally is an adaptive, purpose driven leader with a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in organisations. She is also currently a member of the inaugural South Australian Autism Strategy Advisory Committee. She demonstrates a profound understanding of balancing social impact with commercial and financial sustainability, which makes her an ideal fit for our business.
We look forward to Sally joining GPEx in late March and to benefitting from her immense experience in both healthcare and education.
