Recognising Innovation in Supporting Older Australians Experiencing Homelessness
We’re proud to share that our partner, Country SA PHN, has been recognised by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing for its Care Finder Housing and Homelessness Education Module, an initiative led by Helen Morley, Country SA PHN’s Care Finder Lead.
The Department described the module as a “fantastic training package” and encouraged PHNs across Australia to engage with it, noting that it provides “wonderful insights that could be of use in your region.”
GPEx was honoured to design and host this important education package, which supports care finders to build their understanding of the homelessness sector and better assist older Australians experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The training was created in collaboration with Country SA PHN and the Country North Homelessness Alliance, whose subject matter expertise helped shape its practical, real-world relevance.
We congratulate Country SA PHN on this well-deserved recognition and are proud to have contributed to an initiative making a tangible difference for vulnerable older people.
